This is a unique Indonesian coffee, whose trees are actually transplants from the Jamaican Blue Mountain growing regions. The combination of the JBM trees and the unique Indonesian soil creates a coffee with a flavor somewhere in between. Roasting this bean to the French Roast level brings out even more body and the Indonesian earthiness missing from the lighter roasts. The aroma of this coffee is slightly floral with a dark chocolate nuance. Wonderfully rich with moderate body, the cup hints at baker's chocolate and berry—both work beautifully against the pungent undertone of dark roast flavor. Not so heavy that it can't be enjoyed throughout the day, this is an excellent cup whether brewed by drip or French press.
